Gregg N. Dyste, M.D. received his M.D. from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minnesota.  He then completed both his internship in General Surgery and his residency in Neurosurgery from the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa. Dr. Dyste joined Metropolitan Neurosurgery, P.A. in 1989.

Dr. Dyste serves as Metropolitan Neurosurgery, P.A.’s president.  He is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery.  His professional interests include trauma of the head and spine, cranial surgery, deep brain stimulation, and gamma knife.

 

 




Robert M. Roach, M.D. earned his M.D. from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minnesota.  He then completed both his internship in General Surgery and his residency Neurosurgery from the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa. Dr. Roach joined Metropolitan Neurosurgery, P.A. in 1993.

Dr. Roach is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery. His professional interests include spinal surgery, cranial surgery, and trauma of the head and spine.

 

 







Hart P. Garner, M.D. received his M.D. from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minnesota. He then completed both his internship in General Surgery and his residency in Neurosurgery from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dr. Garner joined Metropolitan Neurosurgery, P.A. in July 2008. His professional interests include trauma of the head and spine, tumors of head and spine, and complex spine surgery.

 

 

 






Andrew R. Schock, PA-C, received his bachelors degree in biology from Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota.  Andrew worked as an EMT at Methodist Hospital until he completed his masters in science in physician assistant studies from Augsburg College in 2006. Andrew joined Metropolitan Neurosurgery, P.A. in July 2006. Andrew assists our physicians in surgery, manages hospitalized patients, and sees patients at our 4 clinic locations.

 

 

 

 






Kyle M Uittenbogaard, M.D. graduated with his M.D. from the University of Iowa, College of Medicine in 2004. He then went on to the University of Minnesota where he completed his General Surgery Internship and his Neurosurgery Residency. Dr. Uittenbogaard joined Metropolitan Neurosurgery in July of 2010. His professional interests include cranial surgery, trauma of the head and spine, and spinal surgery.

 

 

 

 








Ivy M. Murphy, PA-C, received her bachelors degree in kinesiology and physician assistant studies from the University of Southern California in 2001. She has been practicing in Southern California for the last 8 years, of which she spent 3 years assisting orthopedic surgeons and 5 years assisting a general surgeon. Ivy joined Metropolitan Neurosurgery, P.A. in July 2009. She will be assisting in surgical procedures and participating in the management of our patients in the hospital and office settings.

 

 

 






Rachel L Meyer, PA-C, received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from Gustavus Adolphus College in St Peter, MN. She graduated with a Masters of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Midwestern University, College of Health Science in Glendale Arizona in 2009. She then moved back to Minnesota and worked with a Neurosurgery group in St. Cloud, MN. Rachel joined Metropolitan Neurosurgery in May of 2011. She assists in the operating room, sees patients at our 4 clinic locations and helps the physicians manage hospitalized patients. Rachel lives in St Louis Park and her interests include outdoor activities, running, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
